Long before Brad Paisley was a household name he was donating his talent to nursing homes, civic organizations, and churches as well as local and state ceremonies in his hometown of Glen Dale, West Virginia.  Brad has sold millions of albums and became one country music’s most noticeable faces, yet he still makes time to give back to those in need.  He created his own charitable foundation, “The Brad Paisley Foundation,” to support organizations in West Virginia. Organizations that have benefited from this charity include Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Children’s Miracle Network, Easter Seals, American Cancer Society, as well as other local charities.

Brad also mixed two of his passions – fishing and St. Jude’s Research Hospital – to create the Brad Paisley Celebrity Invitational Fishing Tournament. The money that raised goes to the hospital for research.  Brad was honored earlier in 2009 with a room at St. Jude’s named “The Paisley Lounge.”  Over the years Brad has supported a number of other charities including the Wal-Mart’s Take a Kid Fishing Day, Elizabether Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program and the T.J. Martell Foundation.

Brad has also made it simple for the fans to give back. All you have to do is purchase concert tickets. Tickets are sold through Tickets-for-Charity and it offers premium seats to Brad’s concerts. All the seats are sold at face value plus a donation. In 2004 Paisley was honored to receive Country Radio Broadcasters’ Artist Humanitarian of the Year Award.  He clearly doesn’t perform these acts of kindness for the recognition, but we certainly hope that the industry honors Brad for his dedication to making the world a better place!
