Notable Designers Set to Lead Weeklong Construction that Kicks Off in Eight Days

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is pleased to announce the design team for the upcoming Nashville Build which will begin on September 11. Well-known designers Ty Pennington, Paul DiMeo and Tracy Hutson will be joined this season by Leigh Anne Tuohy, interior designer and subject of the nationally acclaimed movie “The Blind Side.” With the help of LP Building Products and HARDAWAY Construction Corp., the Extreme Makeover design team will join with local businesses and volunteers to help make a difference in Nashville.

As the host of Extreme Makeover, Ty Pennington will bring his interior design and carpentry skills to the table to lead the latest Extreme Makeover project, affectionately being called The Nashville Build. Under Ty’s leadership, the show itself has earned two Emmys and two People’s Choice Awards and has helped families across the country.

Well-known designers Paul DiMeo and Tracy Hutson will be joining Ty for The Nashville Build. For Paul, renovation hits close to home. When he was only five years old, his family home burned to the ground. His deep understanding of family hardship makes him a perfect fit for the design team. A devoted mother of two, Tracy has been a designer and stylist since 1999, originally joining the Extreme Makeover team in 2003.

New to the show, Leigh Anne Tuohy is no novice when it comes to interior design. Leigh Anne holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the University of Mississippi and owns and runs a design firm with her mother. The subject of the bestselling book and major motion picture “The Blind Side,” Leigh Anne believes that giving back is just a way of life.
